This is an AV enhanced teaching facility with automated switching. The facility supports video conferencing with remote locations.
Capacity is 20 seats.
The room supports:
- Video conferencing with content support to other ISDN and IP enabled video conferencing facilities
- VHS & DVD playback to local and remote audience
- Computer presentations to local and remote audience
- a Smart Board interactive whiteboard
- Document camera for presenting material to local and remote audience
- Network and Internet access from Teacher’s computers
An AMX console is the centre piece for switching between AV content. The beauty of the AMX console is to allow users to switch a group of devices with no fuss! Put simply, when you hit the Video Conference button, the AMX takes care of all the little details for you:
- Turning on the Data Projector and displaying the Video Conference screen
- Playing audio through wall mounted speakers
- Adding content to your conference from the Document camera
The DVD player used in conjunction with the switching system supports multiple DVD regions as well as PAL/NTSC video support.
The ceiling mounted data projector is permanently connected to the teacher’s computer. An Apple or Windows laptop can also be connected to the data projector via a spare connecting cable.
The Smart Board is connected to the Teacher’s computer and digital projector to allow interaction with the image displayed on the data projector. You can control computer applications directly from the display, for example write notes onto your PowerPoint presentation using digital ink.
