Research at CPACS

Since its inception in 1988, CPACS has maintained an active interdisciplinary research program, conducted initially by the Director, other University of Sydney academics affiliated with the Centre, Visiting Fellows and part-time project coordinators.

Research topics have included disarmament, human rights and corporate responsibility, Aboriginal night patrols, nonviolent policing, the effects of racism on Lebanese youth in Western Sydney, and justice and reconciliation in Rwanda, Cambodia and East Timor. International conference papers, seminar presentations, books, occasional papers, journal articles and other publications have resulted from these research projects, including a book based on the Lebanese youth project submitted for publication in 2005.
