TERRY SMITH is Andrew W. Mellon Professor of Contemporary Art History & Theory at University of Pittsburg, and a Visiting Professor in the Faculty of Architecture and former Director of the Power Institute, University of Sydney. In this lecture he will explore the defining characteristics of contemporary art from an art historical point of view.
