Postgraduate Forms

Applications for the following are available below or from the Faculty of Arts Office. The relevant form must be completed, then approved by the relevant Postgraduate Coordinator of Head of Department, before being submitted to the Faculty Office. Applications for the following must be submitted prior to the applicable semester HECS census deadline (retrospective applications cannot be processed):

• Suspension
• Recommencement after approved suspension
• Extension
• Change in attendance status
• Permission to count time away
• Permission to complete away
• Leave of absence
• Credit for prior postgraduate coursework study
• Discontinuation

Thesis Submission - Research candidates (PhD/MPhil/DArts/DSocSci/MA (Research))

You must notify the Faculty office of your intention to submit your thesis approximately 3 months in advance by completing a Notice of Thesis Submission.

You must submit your thesis at the Faculty office (PhD - submit 4 bound copies of thesis; Masters - submit 3 bound copies of thesis) together with copies of abstract (PhD only) and a recommendation from your supervisor certifying that the thesis is ready for examination.
