Bachelor of Arts (Advanced) (Honours)

Degree Overview

3 years full time

The Bachelor of Arts (Advanced) (Honours) is designed to challenge the highest-achieving students by allowing acceleration into a senior Arts program from the commencement of the degree, and the completion of an Honours degree in an Arts major in three years. This degree emphasises and fosters high-level disciplinary and interdisciplinary research and methodology skills.

An annual Credit average (65 per cent) is the minimum academic standard required to remain in the Bachelor of Arts (Advanced) (Honours) program. Because of the acceleration there are some limitations on the subjects you can choose to major in and in which you take your Honours degree. You will work individually with the degree director to tailor a program that is right for you based on your interests and strengths and that fits the requirements of the program.

There are many ways to structure your degree. Below we've given you just one example:

Note: The different shades of colour in the diagram represent the amount of choice you have with regard to that component of your degree program: the lighter the shade, the wider the range of choice you have in selecting that particular component.
