The Bachelor of Arts (Languages) degree is structured to attract students interested in pursuing their chosen linguistic specialisations through the combination of language and other subject areas.
The additional year beyond that requierd for the three-year Bachelor of Arts degree is not designed for those who simply wish to do more language study. The in-country component will enable you to spend at least one semester or approved study overseas in a country in which your language major is spoken and to credit those studies to your degree.
The experience of in-country study will improve your linguistic fluency substantially and rapidly and will also enable the continuation of your studies in other humanities/social science subjects at the overseas university. A contribution of $5000 towards one semester of study overseas will be provided.
Students can major in any of the following languages:
