6 years full time

A Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Music Studies degree offers you the opportunity of studying humanities subjects at the same time as completing majors in music at the Conservatorium of Music and at the Faculty of Arts.

If you would like to develop your talent for flute, bassoon, brass, cello, clarinet, drums, French horn, guitar, harp, harpsichord, lute and/or oboe while you explore the humanities, for example studying a language such as French, German or Italian, this combined degree could be ideal for you.

This program is perfect for musicians who want to develop their talents to become leading performers, musicologists, composers, music educators or music journalists. The broad educational context of this degree develops candidates’ ability to communicate orally, in writing, and through their chosen musical specialization.

Students in this program acquire musical skills in performance, composition, music education or musicology as they develop their understanding of cultural and societal issues and the analytical and critical competence which will enable them to operate creatively and productively in arts administration or arts policy areas.

As well as music studies, Arts majors in languages, Asian studies, anthropology, literature, linguistics, classics, English, film studies, history, music, religious studies and philosophy are all available to you in this program.
