The first 4 years of the degree are spent completing the requirements of the Bachelor of Arts (Media and Communications) component of the degree, which offers an unparalleled combination of academic excellence and professional training in media and communications. Students will study Media and Communications, Arts and Law subjects concurrently during years 1 - 3 and Media and Communications and Arts in year 4, before proceeding with the Bachelor of Law component at the Law School in years 5 - 6.
The basic requirements for the Bachelor of Arts (Media and Communications)/Bachelor of Laws are:
- a major in Media and Communications
- a major in a Humanities/Social Sciences subject area
- 10 compulsory law units of study (taken over years 1 - 3)
- three special units of study in each of communication, law and government
- an internship in the third or fourth year
