A Major in Anthropology
The Anthropology major requires 36 credit points of Senior Anthropology units. Students are able to choose whether to do a broad-based major in Anthropology or a major in Culture and Development.
The Anthropology major can be comprised of any senior units listed below. These are divided between thematic (eg. development, gender), regional (eg. Aboriginal Australia) and theoretical (eg. culture and the unconscious) units. You may choose any combination.
Culture and Development Major
The Culture and Development major requires 18 senior credit points from the designated pool of Culture and Development units and 18 senior credit points from the general Anthropology or cross-listed units. The designated pool of Culture and Development units includes:

ANTH 2626 The City: Global Flows and Local Forms (not offered in 2008)
ANTH 2627 Medical Anthropology
ANTH 2628 Migration and Migrant Cultures
At least two of these units will be offered each year on a rotating basis.
