Postgraduate Coursework in Arabic and Islamic Studies
The following postgraduate coursework degrees are available:
The coursework program provides students with an understanding of Islam and its place in the modern world. The department has introduced new units in Arabic language for advanced study (for both native and non-native speakers) as well as translations units.
Applicants who want to mix research and coursework can enrol in a Master of Arts (Research). This option is suitable for graduates who would like more training before applying for admission to an advanced research degree (MPhil or, if appropriately qualified, PhD); and graduates who would like a taste of research but do not wish to commit themselves to an MPhil or PhD.
