TARHTS: The Art History and Theory Society
TARHTS IS BACK!!!
So Mr. Snooty Pants, you say you’re interested in the fine arts…
The Art History and Theory Society is the thing for you!!
Social events, publications, museum visits, painting, drawing (as well as
other media) sessions, guest lecturers, student exhibitions,
competitions…and more!
Anyone that’s a Union member is welcome to join.
TARHTS is a society for anyone who has an interest in art. Our members come from every different faculty and department in the university. Being a member is about wanting to share in this interest, so it doesn't matter how much or how little you know of art history and theory.
Whilst not restricted to art history and theory students, TARHTS has shown itself to be the best complement to the courses offered by the department. Discussions of various topics can help where tutorials may fail, and you have the chance to share ideas with students of all ages. Discussion groups, guest speakers and informal debates with fellow members can all aid, confuse and provoke the art history and theory student.
So, if art is your thing, or one of them, TARHTS is where to find it on campus.
