Ancient World Studies
Postgraduate Coursework 2010 Overview

Overview

Ancient World Studies offers the opportunity to study the ancient world at a postgraduate level using an interdisciplinary approach. Students explore ancient cultures and languages from a range of perspectives, drawing on disciplines including ancient history, classics, philosophy, archaeology, and studies in religion. With a strong focus on the civilizations and languages of the ancient world, the program also emphasises contemporary critical responses to ancient culture.

Suggested Pathways

Pathways are a strategy for organising a program of study directed towards a specific area of interest or future employment. The pathway examples shown below are suggestions only. Students can design their own pathway in consultation with the Program Coordinator.
