Student feedback

We are interested in receiving feedback from students on all aspects of our research postgraduate programs, and on those coursework units that we contribute to the Master of Asian Studies. Such feedback is welcome at any time, and may be expressed either informally or in writing. It is normally expected that feedback would be addressed to the academic staff who are directly responsible - to the supervisor of a thesis, dissertation or supervised reading unit, or to the instructor of a coursework unit of study. When appropriate, however, feedback may also be expressed to the appropriate program coordinator:

  • For coursework issues: the convenor of the Asian Studies program and/or the chair of Chinese Studies
  • For research issues, the Chinese Studies postgraduate coordinator and/or the chair of Chinese Studies.

It is appropriate to speak with a convenor, coordinator or department chair when you have comments about the program as a whole, or when the issue is one that, for whatever reason, you cannot resolve directly with the responsible staff member.

There is normally an opportunity to provide written feedback on each coursework unit of study at the end of the semester in which it is taught.
