European Studies
Postgraduate Coursework 2010 Overview

Overview

Drawing on a range of disciplines, the European Studies postgraduate program provides the framework for students to focus on the cultural, historical, political, linguistic and other dimensions of European societies, tailoring a course to suit their individual interests. The Departments of French Studies, Germanic Studies, Italian Studies and Modern Greek present a culturally diverse range of units of study in the postgraduate European Studies program. Students are also able to cross-list units of study from Arabic and Islamic Studies, Hebrew, Biblical and Jewish Studies, Ancient World Studies, Art History and Film Studies, Classics and Ancient History, Philosophy, Studies in Religion and Government and International Relations.

Suggested Pathways

Pathways are a strategy for organising a program of study directed towards a specific area of interest or future employment. The pathway examples shown below are suggestions only. Students can design their own pathway in consultation with the Program Coordinator.

Other combinations of units can be chosen from the full list of units offered.

NB: 2010 Units of Study will be finalised in late September 2009 and available to view on this site in October. Any links below to the online Handbook are to 2009 listings and should be treated as a guide only.
