This qualification is normally completed in 1 year of full time study or 2 - 4 years part time.

Entry Requirements

 
A Bachelor degree in a relevant field in the humanities and social sciences. Candidates who do not hold a Bachelor degree may be admitted to the Graduate Certificate if they have completed courses of study at a satisfactory level, which may be deemed to be equivalent.

Completion Requirements

 
8 units of study (totalling 48 credit points) comprising 3 core units and 1 Methods unit of study, plus 4 electives.
Candidates may choose to substitute a supervised two-part dissertation for 2 of the elective units.

Classes are predominantly scheduled in the evenings to accommodate those students with daytime commitments.

Candidates intending to use the Master of Arts degree as a qualification for entry to an M.Phil or Ph.D should consult the Program Coordinator prior to enrolment.
