Peter’s disiciplinary background is in Sanskrit language and Studies in Religion. He coordinates the Sanskrit program and teaches Indian and Buddhist Philosophy within the Asian Studies and Masters of Buddhist Studies programs. His research interests are primarily in Buddhist and comparative philosophy. Peter also has an interest in methodology in cross-cultural studies and the place of India and Buddhism in the history of ideas.
