Undergraduate enrolment
Enrolment into subjects takes place usually the month or so before the beginning of semester, and is done through the Faculty of Arts. Students will be sent information about specific details of enrolment procedures.
Information about when and where the first class is in each unit will be advertised in the orientation period, usually through your online timetable (accessible through the My Uni) site, or through this website.
Staff members are available to give advice in the University enrolment period (on enrolment day and Live! day). Information is also available on the Arts Faculty website.
- Clashing units
- Discontinuation of a unit
- Variation to enrolment, application for credit for previous study and advanced standing
- Change of address, telephone number or name
If you receive your timetable through the My Uni site, and you have two classes that are on a the same time, this is called a timetable clash. This will clearly be noted on your timetable printout.
During enrolment, there are student advisors from the student center to help with resolving clashes. Contact the student centre, or the School of Languages and Cultures for more information.
If you intend to discontinue a unit or change your enrolment, you must contact the coordinator. You can also discontinue a unit though the My Uni site. In certain circumstances, it is possible to discontinue a unit without its being recorded as a failure. In all cases the Faculty must be informed officially of the decision to discontinue or to withdraw from a unit. All changes in enrolment, discontinuations etc must be made at Arts Faculty level as well as at departmental level.
Applications for exemption from departmental rules or from arrangements with respect to particular units (for example, the waiving of pre-requisites) should be referred to the undergraduate coordinator. Applications for credit and advanced standing must be submitted to the Arts Faculty.
You must inform the University Enrolment Office immediately if you change your address, telephone number or name. You can also change your address through the My Uni site.
