In your study of Indonesian, you will also be introduced to a number of part-time teachers, most of whom are Indonesian. Working with the chair of the department of Indonesian Studies and our other staff, they will give you access to the way Indonesian is evolving in its contemporary setting. This means that you will be taught both by native speakers of the language, and someone who has experienced the process of acquiring a mastery of Indonesian as a native speaker of English. Most students find this is an ideal way of learning the language.
