Extensions and appeals

No extensions will be granted for tests without a medical certificate. Extensions for assignments must be negotiated well before the assignment deadline. To arrange an extension for assignments, contact the .

Language, particularly in oral assessments, is evaluated on a range of tangible and less tangible criteria. You can contact the if you feel that you have received an unreasonable grade. However, before doing so please review the criteria on which you were assessed and consider your performance in light of those criteria.

Under the departmental assessment policy, students will be penalised 5 per cent of the assessment item’s mark for each day that the work is late (including weekends) if no extension has been granted. Assignments will not be be marked at all 2 weeks from the due date without prior arrangement. Please note, though, that it is compulsory to submit all assessment items to pass a unit of study in this department.
