Japanese Studies offers research-based postgraduate degrees leading to the Master of Arts (Research), the Master of Philosophy (MPhil) and/or a PhD.

Coursework postgraduate degrees that focus on Japan can be done through the Asian Studies Program.

Prospective postgraduates are encouraged to contact the department chair directly or the member of the academic staff whose research interests are similar to their own.
