Awarded annually to the best student in Japanese 7 and Japanese 8.

Moira Jennings Memorial Prize for Japanese
The prize is awarded annually to the most proficient student in Beginners Japanese.

Sakuko Matsui Prize for Excellence in Japanese Literature
To the student in the final year of a pass degree for high academic achievement in a unit of study in the area of Japanese Literature, on recommendation of Chair of Department of Japanese Studies.

Japanese Studies Honours Scholarship

University of Sydney Honours Scholarships
Each year the University of Sydney offers about fifty Honours Scholarships, each worth $5,000. These scholarships are available to students enrolled in degrees that require an extra year of study for the award of honours. All local students are eligible, including those students who completed their undergraduate degree at a university other than Sydney.
