Applied Linguistics

 
Linguistics explores the phonetics, grammar and semantics of individual languages, seeking to uncover the features common to all languages.
The Department is widely recognised for its expertise in systemic functional grammar and applied linguistics, while new areas of strength include formal generative linguistics, Lexical Functional Grammar, and indigenous languages of Australia and the Asia-Pacific..

English Language in Australia

 
The combined program of units of study in English, Linguistics and Australian Studies that make up the postgraduate English Language in Australia courses will enable students to develop their understanding of the structure and use of the English language.
