Centre for Medieval Studies Undergraduate Programme
The Centre for Medieval Studies offers select units of study each year which may be taken as part of a degree in Medieval Studies, or often as cross-listed units counting towards a major in another discipline. The knowledge and skills you will gain from undertaking one of our units of study will be invaluable to your degree, regardless of the particular major you are working towards.
Interested in BA or Diploma of Arts with a major in Medieval Studies?
A Major in Medieval Studies consists of at least 36 Senior credit point units, including MDST2601 and one other MDST 6-credit-point unit of study, from the Units of Study for Medieval Studies or from the Cross-Listed Units of Study.
Interested in counting our units of study towards a different major?
The Centre's interdisciplinary programme enables students interested in various aspects of medieval civilization to undertake subjects through the Centre as part of their Arts or other degrees and diplomas. These subjects will often count towards other majors in the Faculty of Arts.
Interested in Honours in Medieval Studies?
For admission to Medieval Studies IV Honours, students must complete a Major in Medieval Studies plus units worth 12 credit points from the Cross-Listed Units of Study - List B. Students with difficulty fulfilling this should consult the Co-Ordinator at the earliest opportunity to discuss alternatives.
