Elisabeth completed her Honours and Doctoral degrees in the Faculty of Economics and Business and is currently teaching and researching in the Department of Political Economy (Faculty of Arts). Elisabeth’s research has focussed on fair trade in coffee with particularly emphasis on the smallholder coffee sector in Papua New Guinea (PNG). More recently Elisabeth is extending her research focus to include a survey of smallholder cooperatives in PNG and to examine sustainability initiatives in the context of corporate social responsibility arguments. Her teaching has focussed primarily on theories, policy and governance of development and rights. Current Classes
