Dr Joy Paton

Joy completed her Honours and Doctoral degrees in the Faculty of Economics and Business (Discipline of Political Economy) and is currently an Associate Lecturer in the Department of Political Economy (Faculty of Arts). She has an ongoing interest in the processes of teaching and learning and is undertaking the Diploma in Educational Studies (Higher Education) at the University of Sydney. Joy's research has focused primarily on theories, policy and governance for sustainability in ‘liberal’ societies and she is currently extending these concerns to China in the context of its convergence with capitalist economies. Her current research interests also include the dissemination and impacts of economic theory in comparative cultural contexts.
