Sociology

Sociology is the study of human behaviour and patterns of social interaction in their institutional, organisational and cultural settings. Sociological research at the University of Sydney emphasises both an historical and comparative approach to understanding the modern world and contemporary social issues.

Social Policy

The Social Policy program focuses on historic and contemporary Australian social policies, comparative policies of other countries, and the contested principles of social policy. The program aims both at those seeking a career in social policy and professionals already working in related areas.

Career Opportunities

The program aims both at those seeking a career in social policy and professionals already working in related areas.
