About

The Digital Innovation Unit (DIU) promotes escholarship in the humanities, arts and social sciences (HASS) by providing a platform for information sharing, research support and technical innovation, and enabling new approaches to the use of digital methods in research.

We draw on extensive experience in the development of research grants and digital humanities projects to provide HASS-knowledgeable expert advice on digital methods, both for grant applications and for established projects. We also provide technological infrastructure and the development of innovative applications to support scholarship.

The DIU’s partners are the Archaeological Computing Laboratory, PARADISEC and the Library's Sydney eScholarship.

The Unit is funded by the Faculty of Arts and the University Library, and administered by SOPHI.
