1. Neil McLeod, Early Irish Contract Law (1992)

This book deals with the law of contract in eighth-century Ireland, describing the intricate rules designed to ensure fair bargains and to accommodate the complex social relations of early Irish society. It includes and edition and translation of Di Astud Chor, the central text on contract law in early medieval Ireland.

2. Aedeen Cremin, The Celts in Europe (1992)

An introduction to continental Celtic societies in the period 500BC to AD500, combining archaeological, linguistic and historical evidence. This is an accessible book, containing maps, illustrations, glossary and reading list.

3. Geraint Evans, Bernard Martin and Jonathan M. Wooding (eds.), Origins and Revivals: Papers from the First Australian Conference of Celtic Studies (2000)

A collection of articles on the Celtic world from prehistoric to modern times, arranged under headings which include Language, History and Literature, Celtic Survival Studies, Irish Literature, Social History and Law, Medieval and Modern Literature, and Celtic Archaeology.

4. Pamela O'Neill and Jonathan M. Wooding (eds.), Literature and Politics in the Celtic World (2000)

Based on conference papers from the Third Australian Conference of Celtic Studies, held in 1998, this collection contains articles on Politics and Government, Literature and Cultural Identity, Early Irish Literature, and Literature and Irish Politics.

5. Jonathan M. Wooding and David Day (eds.), Celtic-Australian Identities (2001)

Irish-Australian and Welsh-Australian studies from the 'Australian Identities' Conference in Dublin, 1996. Topics include migration studies, 19th- and 20th-century Australian history, and a study of Louis de Paor's poetry.
