Career Opportunities

The Bachelor of Social Sciences will provide you with focused professional training in the social sciences through its combination of two majors in Humanities and Social Sciences with the internship and the core units of study.

The core units, developed specifically for this degree, will provide a solid understanding of the principles and practices that underpin the various Social Science disciplines.

The additional fourth year will provide you with the opportunity for more intensive study of chosen subjects in the Humanities and Social Sciences than you will find possible in similar three-year programs. Together with the internship and the related research units, you will then be equipped with the skills and practical training and experience necessary to move into areas such as research and policy development in both government and private sector agencies.

For confirmation and full details of the units of study available, staff lists and degree rules, consult the Faculty of Arts Handbook.
