Michael Hogan's research and teaching interests include: Australian politics, Land History, the relationship between religion and politics in Australia and NSW electoral politics.
Significant publications include: The Catholic Campaign for State Aid; The Sectarian Strand; Local Labor: A History of the Labor Party in Glebe; and four edited volumes of The People's Choice
