We cling so
I forget where I end

My focus shifts
and begins to feel your pain
until I no longer feel what I feel
When our legs break apart
I am shocked
I have forgotten where my feet are
and mistook them for my knees
Worrying about injuring
a part of me
that I cannot harm
I see that it is for the best
that we look after our own limbs
