If you are considering starting an Arts degree in March 2009, you’ll find everything you need to know here.

Non-year 12 Applicants

If you are a non-year 12 applicant, you still apply for entry to university through the University Admissions Centre. For more information please see the UAC website.

This applies to you if:

  • you did not attempt an Australian Year 12 qualification or International Baccalaureate (IB) in Australia in 2008
  • you are attempting a Queensland Year 12 external student qualification, or a New Zealand National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA) Level 3 qualification
  • you received an offer through UAC last year and were granted deferment.

Scholarships

  • Faculty of Arts Scholarships : There are several faculty scholarships available throughout your degree. Click here for information on Arts Faculty Scholarships.
  • University of Sydney Scholarships : Scholarships are available on the basis of merit or equity. The main entry scholarship for school leavers is the University of Sydney scholarships (entry, merit or outstanding achievement) available to all students entering the University. For more information about these university scholarships please see the Scholarship and Prizes website. Please note that these scholarships closed at the end of September 2008, but the Scholarships and Prizes Office also offers other scholarships for students after enrolment.
