About the awards
The Faculty of Arts seeks to recognise and reward excellent teaching that responds to evidence of effective student learning.
The Faculty’s Awards program is designed to recognise the teaching excellence of staff at all career levels, to encourage teachers to engage in reflective teaching practices and to promote and support the development of high quality and innovative teaching.
Applying for these awards encourages: critical reflection on teaching and learning; evaluation of teaching practice; engagement with higher educational research; and a focus on improving student learning.
In 2009, winners in the ‘Excellence in Teaching’ categories will receive prize money to support research and/or teaching needs.
